Yes, she is a real cat. The belly is real too.
In real life, Meatball Chubbs is Coral, Harper's very own cat. She is rounder in person. When she walks across the kitchen, her big belly sways from side to side and sweeps the floor clean on the way by. The whole family cracks up every time. Nobody tells her to stop. She would not listen anyway.
Look close at her collar. Next to the gold bell hangs a little silver ring, twisted out of a pipe cleaner by a very fancy admirer. She wears it like treasure. In her mind, it is treasure.
Meatball calls herself a snack expert. She knows where every treat in the house is hidden, and she has a plan to get every single one. Harper makes the plans around the house. Gage brings the dance moves. Meatball brings the appetite.
Is she spoiled? A little. Does she know it? Every bit. That is why we love her.

Three best friends. One very round cat.
Meatball Chubbs
The star of the show. A fat calico who talks, jokes, and is always on a snack mission. In real life, she is Harper's cat, Coral.
Harper
The big sister. She makes the plans and keeps the crew on track. She loves her cat almost as much as Meatball loves cake.
Gage
The little brother. He teaches Meatball her dance moves, and he laughs the loudest when her belly gets in the way.
🐶 Guest stars: Nietzsche the Yorkie and Sienna the Pit Mix drop in now and then, when a story needs extra paws.
